We camped in Giles's parent's garden. When asked if we'd like to go visit the RAF base in the next field where Giles's Father teaches helicopter pilots it didn't take us long to make up our minds.

As soon as we got there the SeaKing was scrambled and headed off to the snow covered mountains on the horizon.

But we did get to look around the training aircraft.

We were awoken at half past severn on Monday morning by the first Hawk taking off. Our tent was pitched in the field at the end of the runway. I have never woken up so quickly or heard such a loud noise in my life.

Then back in the car for our 7.5 hour journey home.
